Ian led Year 5 during a day of Samba.  All the children were able to take part.  A fantastic rhythm and all round sound was achieved.  Another different event and a new experience for many!  Well done!

Headteacher's Awards

Today saw the weekly award session of the much sought after Headteacher Awards and large Best Effort Certificates.  11 Headteacher Award leather Bookmarks were presented.

The count was 51 Headteacher Best Effort Certificates.  Another example of a wonderful week's hard work being rewarded.  Well done- a truly best effort! :-)

Chinese New Year

Last week saw the arrival of the 'Year of the Dragon'  Your school kitchen team, never liking to miss out, took the opportunity of serving up a wonderful meal and dressing up.  This helped reinforce the message from assembly earlier in the day.  Well done, team! :-)

Best Effort Assembly

Year 3 visit to Cromer Parish Church

Year 3 have been learning about religious buildings in Cromer. They visited the Parish Church on Wednesday where they carried out some observational drawings and listened to a talk about the building. Please see our assembly blog to see the model of the church they made.

Cromer Parish Church at CJS!

All the children have been researching religious buildings and faiths.  Y3 have used Cromer as their learning context.  One of the outcomes was this fantastic model of Cromer Parish Church.  The model is taller than the children and almost some of the adults!  We hope this is a memorable moment!  It is a fantastic model which we hope to display in the actual parish church.

This week's attendance is an impressive 96.9%.  We always try to be over 96% which is our government target. 5 classes were above this target with 6A being present all week.  The year group average attendances were; Y6-98.5%  Y5-98.9%  Y4-96.75%  Y3-93.2%.  Each half term, the winners receive the 'Attendance Shield' and their class name and details are engraved upon it.  Each week, winners are rewarded with 'an extra' by their teacher.  Do you know who has been winning this award?

Blog Hits

Yesterday the counter on our blog recorded the 10 000th hit - amazing! Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to improve this service.

Year 3 Talent Show

A number of Year 6 children have worked very hard to organise this year's Cromer Got Talent. Instead of being shown as what has been formerly known as Kidz TV this version is going to be aired on the blog, as each episode is filmed.

Year 5 visit Norwich Cathedral

We've had another great day out, albeit a bit colder today! Some super work and photos soon to be displayed in our year 5 area - come and have a look next week. Children behaved well, especially when asked to show quiet respect inside the Cathedral, as they did last week in the various churches in Walsingham.
